Frontline Church of God was established in 1998 under the name, The Amanda Church of God. Carl Noland was the founding pastor and organized the church with 12 charter members. The church first met at the Amanda Firehouse and was then moved to the Clearport Community Center, until land and a building were purchased at the corner of State RT 22 and Amanda Northern Rd. Shortly after in September, 1990, Bishop Chris Hildenbrand became the pastor. In 1993 the name of the church was changed to, The Frontline Church of God. This name was chosen, not because of what we are, but what we aspire to be.. on the frontlines of ministry.
Pastor Chris Hildenbrand is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God and has served in various capacities since 1982. In 1990 he became the pastor of the Frontline Church of God. In the years that have followed, the Lord has blessed mightily. The church has grown from 12 charter members to a congregation of hundreds. The church moved into a new facility in 2002, started a school, expanded its outreach ministries, and has become a vital part of the local community.
Pastor Hildenbrand has been happily married to Sharon since 1980. They have two children and two grandchildren.
